Polish market entry for furniture, bathroom, lighting and home décor brands

How to enter the Polish market with a furniture or home brand. Start with the people who choose.

In Poland, interior designers and the clients who hire them decide which sofa, tile or lamp ends up in a home. We work with both every day. We test your product and your prices with them, find the right retail partners and plan the launch — before you invest in the market.

Why entering Poland is harder than the market reports suggest

A brand that is new to Poland usually runs into the same problems:

  • Your product sells well at home, but nobody in Poland knows your brand yet.
  • You don't know if your price point fits Polish buyers — or what local competitors really charge.
  • A distributor asks for exclusivity before you know whether the product sells here at all.
  • Polish clients rarely buy furniture they haven't seen, and designers don't recommend what they haven't touched.
  • Market reports give you numbers, not the people who will actually choose your product.

General market-entry consultants know company registration and trade statistics. We know who chooses sofas, tiles and lamps for Polish homes — because we work with them every day.

Entering the Polish market in five steps

The same order we would follow for a Polish brand — adapted to a brand that is new to the country. You can start with all five or only the one you need.

  1. 1. Test the product with Polish designers.

We send samples or present your collection to interior designers from our network and collect their honest feedback: what fits Polish homes, what to change, what to leave out.

  2. 2. Test your prices before you set them.

We check how designers and clients react to your price points and compare them with what is already on the Polish market — so you launch with a price that sells and protects your margin.

  3. 3. Choose the route to the client.

Distributor, partner showrooms, online stores or your own e-commerce. We recommend the mix, then shortlist and approach distributors and retailers that fit your product.

  4. 4. Get designers to specify you.

Samples, files for design software, showroom and factory visits, a designer programme. Designers who trust your brand bring it into their clients' projects.

  5. 5. Launch the brand where Polish clients look.

Polish content, campaigns for clients and designers, catalogues and product data that make sense to a Polish buyer — and a presence where people look for inspiration before they buy.

Something else on your list? Tell us about it — if it concerns interiors, we have most likely dealt with it already.

We know the Polish interiors market from the inside.

Proplo is a Polish platform that connects people furnishing their homes with interior designers — and with the brands they buy from. That gives us a view of the market few others have.

1,900+

Polish interior designers on our platform

They choose furniture, lighting and materials for your future clients. We talk to them, research their choices and know what they need from a brand before they put it in a project.

100,000+

people furnishing their homes

They come to us for a designer, inspiration, advice and deals. We see what they look for, what they compare and when they decide to buy.

Dozens

manufacturers in regular contact

Through our partner programme we advise many companies at once. We know what works across the Polish market, not just for one brand.

We advise and we deliver. Before Proplo, we advised companies in this industry and beyond on business models, sales channels, e-commerce, marketing, automation and AI. Today we combine that experience with what our platform shows us every day.

How we work

No off-the-shelf package. We start with your product, your goals and what you already know about Poland.

  1. Call

We listen before we propose anything. The first call is free and commits you to nothing.

  2. Test

Product and price tests with Polish designers and clients, plus a look at competitors and channels.

  3. Entry plan

What to launch, at what price, through which partners and in what order — and what to expect.

  4. Launch

With us or on your own. We can run the whole launch or only the part you need help with.

I listen first, then I advise. Sometimes fixing one thing is enough, sometimes a bigger part of how you sell needs rethinking. What matters to us is that things really start working better for you — and if one good piece of advice is all it takes, you'll get it without a sales pitch.

Questions about entering the Polish market

Do you only work with furniture brands?

No. We work with any brand whose product ends up in a home: furniture, mattresses, lighting, flooring, tiles, bathroom and kitchen fittings, finishing materials, textiles and décor.

Do we need a Polish company or office to start?

Not to start. Product tests, price tests, research and the partner search can all happen before you set up anything in Poland. Legal and tax setup stays with your advisers — we tell you at which point you will need it.

Can you find distributors and retail partners for us?

Yes. We shortlist distributors, showrooms and online stores that fit your product and price point, approach them in Polish and prepare the first meetings. The final terms are always your decision.

Do you work in English?

Yes. We work with you in English and talk to Polish designers, buyers and partners in Polish, so nothing is lost in translation.

How much does it cost?

It depends on the scope — from a single product or price test to the whole launch. You get a quote after the first call, before you sign anything.

What about confidentiality?

Everything we learn about your company and your plans stays between us. We sign an NDA before the first call if you need one.

Planning to enter Poland? Let's talk.

Tell us what you want to bring to the Polish market. We'll get back to you to set up a call and tell you where we would start — before we propose anything paid.
